Best of Pop Culture
At Toys Milano Db-Line will exhibit a selection of its iconic products, representing some of the brands distributed officially and exclusively, and will also propose display solutions specially designed for the salespoints.
“We are constantly adding new products in our catalogue for the Italian market, in the toys, merchandising and collectables categories, highlighting the most successful and best-selling productions, linked with the best-known licenses”, says Marco Salmini, CEO. “Besides Funko-POP!, the Paladone gaming-theme lamps, the Pyramid keyholders, two big new entries are the kidult-oriented Mystery Box and the licensed products by Plastoy, recently acquired for distribution in Italy”.
The Mystery Box is a proprietary project of Db-Line’s: it was first launched in February this year proving very successful. A box filled with gifts belonging to the best brands of the entertainment world (the assorted items used to put together the first batch summed up to 348), it includes over 10 products at a highly competitive consumer price of Euro 29.99, among them gadgets and appealing products such as T-shirts, the iconic Funko-POP!, keyholders and much more.
Plastoy is a 25-years old French company specializing in the creation of licensed gadgets (like money-boxes and keyholders) and figures that make the most of famous characters connected with well-established franchises: Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, DC Comics, Dragon Ball, One Piece, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan.
“It is acknowleged that among Db-Line’s strengths there are a wide, immediate delivery offer and, most of all, its service’s quality and speed, to the advantage of all the partners of the retail channel, from the mass market to the specialized large-scale distribution, from the specialist chains to the e-commerce platforms”, points out Salmini.
Db-Line was founded in 1991 as a distributor of gaming products. In the course of over 30 years of activity, the company has become a point of reference in Italy, progressively expanding its operations from gaming to toys, merchandising and collectables. Relying on official and exclusive distributions with a strong appeal, Db-Line guarantees a flexible service based on a solid and tested structure, including logistics, capable of handling and dispatching orders within 24 hours throughout Italy.
Among the various activities developed by Db-Line, Kidult Project is the Category Management initiative, dedicated to Pop Culture, i.e. Merchandise & Collectables. Kidult Project proposes an integrated and selected offer of the best brands – such as Funko, Paladone, Disney Traditions and Showcase, Wizarding World, Room Copenaghen, Difuzed, Pyramid, Plastoy – to be valorised within the points of sale, thanks to an appropriate massification. Not only that. Last February, Db-Line launched the Mystery-Box, which has been a great sales success and is aimed at a broad target group, not only fans of the most popular series, such as Harry Potter, Pokémon or Stranger Things. The Mystery Box (348 items were used to produce the first batch) consists of more than 10 products, such as T-Shirts, DVDs, Funko POP!, key rings and much more, at a highly competitive price. The business related to Collectibles & Merchandising products is constantly expanding and generates an increasing volume of business. The high visibility of the products for the benefit of consumers promotes a profitable sell-out.
